Raixer 12V Installation

The smart lock with 3G

Raixer 12V allows you to sensor your space and connect up to three doors to the internet. Additionally, you can manage temporary and recurring access from the app. From the app, you can know who, when, and how they were opened. It serves for the portal and the home.

List of requirements, tools and hardware

To connect the Raixer 12V to the intercom you will need:

  1. Your Raixer 12V and the connection cables included in the kit.
  2. A light point 1.5 meters from where you are going to install it.
  3. Multimeter
  4. Screwdriver
  5. Scissors
  6. Cable stapler

To connect it to the apartment door, you will also need:

  1. An electric door opener or lock without memory.
  2. An electric piston or pin (optional)
  3. Chisel and hammer to recess the door frame.

Preparation

Does the intercom make a sound?

Check that the community doorbell rings the intercom of the dwelling where you install Raixer 12V.

Does the intercom open?

Check that your intercom opens the front door when you press the open button.

Is the cable okay?

Check that the microUSB cable reaches the socket from the point where you are going to install Raixer 12V.

Connecting Raixer 12V to the intercom

  1. Raixer 12V has 4 outputs in each lateral bay (P1, P2) and 11 outputs in the central bay (P3). Each bay (P1, P2, P3) is independent, so you can use them to operate three different doors. Here you have a connection diagram.
  2. Use pins A and B of P1 and P2 of Raixer 12V to detect the voltage variation that occurs in the intercom when the doorbell is rung.
  3. Use pins C and D of P1 and P2 of Raixer 12V to close the circuit and press the intercom button.
  4. If you are going to use a standard 18650 battery (to guarantee the electrical supply in case of contingency) connect it to pins 1 and 2 of P3.
  5. If you are going to use motion and/or open/closed sensors, connect them to pins 3 and 4 of P3, respectively. Use the ground you will find on pin 6 of P3.
  6. If you are going to power the Raixer 12V directly from a light point, use pins 6 and 7 of P3.
  7. If you are going to use an electric door opener, connect it to pin 8 of P3. Use the ground you will find in pin 6 of P3.
  8. If you are going to use an electric piston, connect it to pin 9 of P3. Use the ground you will find on pin 6 of P3.
  1. Open the intercom cover and locate the connection terminal. In the photo below, you will see a green terminal, with numbers and letters above each connector.
  2. You must identify in that strip which outputs correspond to those of the open button, the ground or mass and the doorbell or sensor.
  3. If you can't find them, it doesn't mean that your intercom is not compatible! You simply need a multimeter to locate them. We tell you below.

Find the GND output

  1. Connect the multimeter and activate the mode to measure continuous voltage.
  2. Connect the black cable to the COM terminal of the multimeter and the red cable to VΩmA
  3. Try all possible combinations between the intercom strip terminals until the multimeter shows the highest positive voltage.
  4. If the voltage is negative, reverse the connection of the cables: connect the red where the black and the black where the red.
  5. Connect the GND output of Raixer 12V to the terminal where the black multimeter cable is connected.

Find the output to Sensor

  1. Continue with the DC voltage measurement mode on the multimeter and do not disconnect the black wire.
  2. Connect the red multimeter cable to each of the intercom terminals. It will show a constant voltage. If when you press the doorbell button, the voltage differential varies significantly, that is the sensor terminal.

You can connect output B (P1 or P2) of the Raixer device to any terminal, go down to the intercom with your mobile phone and check on the device configuration screen of the Raixer app the voltage variation when you press the doorbell. If the variation is notable, you will have found the terminal to which to connect output B (P1 or P2) of the Raixer device.

Find the output to NC and COM

The objective of these steps is to bridge the open button of your intercom. With this you will get the press to open to be carried out both on the intercom and on Raixer 12V.

  1. Connect the multimeter and activate the tester or beep mode and join the black and red wires, if the multimeter beeps, then it works correctly.
  2. Locate the terminals of the intercom strip that correspond to the opening button plates.
  3. Place the red or black cable on one of the intercom terminals and test on the other plates until the multimeter beeps. Repeat this step with the other terminal.
  4. Check that these two terminals are correct: connect the multimeter cables to these two plates and press the opening button.
  1. If the multimeter beeps, the connection will be correct.
  2. If the multimeter does not beep, repeat the previous step until you locate the correct plates
  1. Connect outputs C and D of Raixer 12V to the two plates. The connection order does not matter.

Connecting Raixer 12V to the door opener or electric strike

  1. Hollow out the door frame to embed the electric door opener.
  2. Connect the electric door opener to outputs 6 and 8 (GND and 12V NC, respectively) of Raixer 12V.
  3. Remember that Raixer 12V powers this part (12V).

Connecting Raixer 12V to the electric piston or bolt

  1. Drill the two parts of the electric piston or bolt. The male part must be in the frame and the female part in the door leaf.
  2. Connect the electric piston to outputs 6 and 9 (GND and 12V NO, respectively) of Raixer 12V.

Connecting Raixer 12V to the internet

  1. Plug the adapter into the power outlet.
  2. Connect the micro USB cable to the Raixer device. The light will flash blue. If not, press the lower left button on the device with a pen.
  3. Install the Raixer app on your mobile.
  4. Open the app and press Add > Configure new device > New 3G Device
  5. Follow the instructions that appear in the app.

Calibrate to detect the doorbell

Calibrating Raixer 12V correctly is necessary if you want to use the Auto Access function or ring to open the gate. Calibration consists of making the device know:

  1. What is the voltage existing in the intercom when no one is ringing the doorbell.
  2. What is the voltage when the doorbell rings?

Don't worry if you don't know what amps or volts are. The auto-calibration will guide you step by step so you can configure it correctly.

  1. Press on the Raixer 12V you want to auto-calibrate.
  2. Go to Settings > Doors > Edit, press on the door you use for Auto Access, usually, it will be the street door. Confirm.
  3. Make sure that the port you are configuring is actually the one to which Raixer 12V is connected. On the Connect your door screen you will see a diagram of the device and an arrow indicating the port. They must match.
  4. Press the Auto Calibrate button and follow the app instructions.
