Evaluation is a key component of the educational process, as it allows measuring the progress and understanding of students. There are two main types of evaluation: formative and summative.
Differences between Formative and Summative Evaluation
- Formative Evaluation: It is carried out during the learning process to provide continuous feedback.
- Sumative Evaluation: It is carried out at the end of a period of instruction to evaluate the total learning.
Both types of evaluation are important for educational development and should be used in a complementary manner.
